Educate, Elevate and Entertain communities in hard to reach places.

We show movies to communities who wouldn’t otherwise enjoy this simple experience.  We secure the screening rights to family friendly movies and arrange for dubbing into local language, and screen on world class equipment… in often extremely challenging and quirky locations. 

• Educate: Short films, public service announcements, NGO educational shorts.
• Elevate: Cinema can offer a window to the world, offering inspiration and aspiration.
• Entertain: Family focussed films with good messages that are of course fun!

SWB began as Cinema Loro saé  (pron. Cinema Loro-sigh) Timor-Leste in 2010 and since then we have delivered hundreds of screenings across the country, from screenings on the beach in Dili to the local soccer fields in the remote mountain villages.  The film program is designed to appeal to the whole community with each of the nights having its own location and movie variety.
